Capabilities
SwayMeter can be used as a diagnostic tool. It gathers data about
the subject's ability to maintain balance. The "Sway
Suite" tests the amount of sway that a patient has in each of four
conditions. Testing is done on a smooth surface with the eyes open
and in the eyes closed. The testing is repeated with the eyes open
and the eyes closed on an uneven surface (foam). Once the data is
gathered, the patient's numbers are compared to normative values that have
been previously gathered. Pass or fail criterion can be applied.
